Party Suggestions

Start 2001 with the best artisan bread money can buy. Make a beautiful basket of bread for a centerpiece at your next dinner party. Everyone loves tearing off pieces of bread, and bread can be a great ice-breaker. Every one of our breads is fit for a king, a party, or just for your own quiet dinner. Here are some suggestions for how to serve it at celebrations or anywhere good food is served:

Rosemary Focaccia
- An instant pizza: Split lengthwise, brush with olive oil, spread with tomato sauce, dot with fresh mozzarella (in water), sprinkle with fresh basil and broil for 5 minutes.

Kalamata Olive
- Slice very thin, toast and top with goat, cream cheese or mascarpone.

Hazelnut Sage - The world's best French toast: Slice into 1 inch slices. Dip in beaten egg, seasoned with salt, pepper and a little cinnamon and sauté in butter until golden.

Rustico - Great French toast: (See above.) and worlds best bruschetta.

Integrale (Whole Wheat Sourdough) - Slice lengthwise and spread with tuna salad: 1 can Italian tuna, 1/2 cup apple, chopped fine, 1/2 cup toasted nuts, chopped medium, juice of 1 lemon, 2 tablespoons capers, 4 tablespoons mayonnaise, salt and pepper to taste. Slice sandwich in rounds for individual servings.

Cinnamon Focaccia - For a special breakfast or morning office gathering. Available at bakery only.
